What is a CGM?
A continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is a system designed to provide users with continuous glucose data by reading interstitial fluid (the fluid around the cells) rather than blood draws.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions Answered
Do continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) help with weight loss?
When used consistently, CGMs (also known as biosensors) can support healthy, sustainable weight management by helping you understand how your body responds to food, exercise, and daily habits in real time.
Research shows that 87% of CGM users change their food choices based on glucose feedback, and nearly half are more likely to move their bodies when they see a spike. Over 90% of users say CGMs help them lead a healthier lifestyle.
By showing you when your glucose rises or crashes, CGMs make it easier to recognize patterns, like cravings driven by glucose dips or energy crashes, and to respond with small, effective adjustments. This kind of insight can help you delay eating when your body still has fuel to burn, choose foods that support more stable glucose, and use short bursts of movement to bring high glucose levels back down.
Signos takes that a step further by using your personal glucose data, meal logs, and workout history to suggest what to eat next or how to move, so you’re not guessing. With consistent use, CGMs paired with in-the-moment guidance can help retrain your appetite, reduce overeating, and build habits that support long-term weight and fat loss.

What can (and can’t) I do with my CGM?
You can take showers, exercise, work out, and even swim with your CGM. The CGM is designed to be able to work in water in depths of up to 8 feet and altitudes of up to 13,800 feet. You can also use it in a hot tub as long as the temperature does not exceed 107.6°F.
Live somewhere tropical? No worries, the sensor can function in up to 95% humidity.
Do I need to scan my CGM?
You will not need to scan the CGM with your phone. The CGM will take readings every 5 minutes and will transmit data continuously — every 15 minutes — to your phone. To make sure your phone is capturing the readings, you just need to enable bluetooth, and make sure your phone is within 20 feet of you.
Can I pay for Signos using my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Possibly, but it depends on your HSA/FSA provider. Coverage varies, so check with your provider to confirm whether CGMs and wellness programs like Signos are eligible.
Please note: Signos is not responsible for reimbursement, and the cancellation policy and terms still apply, even if your provider does not approve coverage or reimbursement.
